Christmas Eve 2006

Tonight we attended Christmas Eve mass at church. It was really nice. Afterwards we went over to Aunt Car's house for Christmas with MomM's side of the family. It was great. We ate dinner, opened presents and played games. My favorite part of the night was getting the Little People Circus from Aunt Jilly! I LOVE that toy! Ella and I both got to wear our Elmo Christmas jammies. When we were leaving, we looked up into the sky and MomE pointed out that she saw Santa's sleigh and Rudolph's red nose. We shouted for him to head towards our house. We had to get home so that we could leave Santa his milk and cookies and the reindeer their apple and carrots. We got home and Ella went to bed. I stayed up to help MomE put out the goodies for Santa and the reindeer. Afterwards we read "The Night Before Christmas" and I told the mommies that I was going to sneak a peek at Santa. I tried...but I was too tired and fell asleep 'til morning.

Happy 1st Birthday Ella!

Happy 1st birthday sis! I love you! I am so happy for you...you've come such a long way in just 1 year. You went from 2+ lbs. to almost 20 lbs. You are starting to eat big people food and are on the verge of crawling. You are starting to play toys with me. You take baths with me. And you laugh at me when I'm silly. We are just 18 months apart and I can already tell that we are going to be the best of friends! Happy Birthday!

New Coat

Lately, Ella's been wearing my retro coat. It's still a little big on her, but I think she likes the fake fur. She still doesn't have much hair so the hood keeps her head warm!

Church Program

Today we had the church school program. My job was to rock baby Jesus and then pass him to the other little girls. I did extremely well since I have had a lot of prior experience rocking baby dolls. Then, for my second act, I was passed the microphone and I had to say "Love Each Other". I said it low and Aunt Car asked me to say it again, so I did. My version sounded more like "Love Eachudder!". This was Ella's first church school program. She got to hold a balloon. She did very well! I was proud of her! After the program we had a luncheon and ate yummy food. It was a lot of fun!

Ella's 1st Birthday Party

Tonight we had Ella's 1st birthday party! It was a blast. The theme was Happy Feet, ya know, those little tap-dancing penguins. The Moms think that Ella has happy feet because when they hold her she has a tendency to kick her legs fast and furious. Anyway, we had good eats at the party, we sang Happy Birthday to Ella, we watched an awesome DVD that MomM put together of Ella's first year, we opened presents and then we played musical chairs and danced around. It was great. I love parties!
