Christmas Eve 2006

Tonight we attended Christmas Eve mass at church. It was really nice. Afterwards we went over to Aunt Car's house for Christmas with MomM's side of the family. It was great. We ate dinner, opened presents and played games. My favorite part of the night was getting the Little People Circus from Aunt Jilly! I LOVE that toy! Ella and I both got to wear our Elmo Christmas jammies. When we were leaving, we looked up into the sky and MomE pointed out that she saw Santa's sleigh and Rudolph's red nose. We shouted for him to head towards our house. We had to get home so that we could leave Santa his milk and cookies and the reindeer their apple and carrots. We got home and Ella went to bed. I stayed up to help MomE put out the goodies for Santa and the reindeer. Afterwards we read "The Night Before Christmas" and I told the mommies that I was going to sneak a peek at Santa. I tried...but I was too tired and fell asleep 'til morning.

Church Program

Today we had the church school program. My job was to rock baby Jesus and then pass him to the other little girls. I did extremely well since I have had a lot of prior experience rocking baby dolls. Then, for my second act, I was passed the microphone and I had to say "Love Each Other". I said it low and Aunt Car asked me to say it again, so I did. My version sounded more like "Love Eachudder!". This was Ella's first church school program. She got to hold a balloon. She did very well! I was proud of her! After the program we had a luncheon and ate yummy food. It was a lot of fun!

My First Big Sleepover

Tonight the boys slept over. Aunt Car and Uncle Mike had a reunion to go to, so the moms were babysitting. Sleepovers are Fun with a capital "F"! We started the night with some game playing. MomE and the boys played Parchesi and then we all played Go Fish. Later, MomM helped us make sugar cookies. We mixed the ingredients with our hands and each got a hunk of dough to roll out with a rolling pin. We used cookie cutters to make different shaped cookies and we decorated them with sugar crystals. After the cookies were all made, Michael and Jacob and I ate the rest of the sugar crystals. It turned our mouthes to a yucky color! After cookies we blew up the inflatable Aerobed and laid on it while watching one of MomM's Star Wars movies. I LOVED Star Wars. I think it was the Return of the Jedi one. I wasn't scared at all...after all it's just pretend! After the movie it was time for bed. Michael and I ended up with different sections of the couch and Jacob had the Aerobed all to himself. The next morning MomE was asking me about the movie (since she had never seen it) and I told her all about ObieDaDobi and Luke's sister. Eventually the boys had to go home. All good parties must come to an end. I can't wait until my next sleepover!!
